Whether it's hall, bridge or residential construction - the structural design and the preparation of static calculations for sophisticated wooden structures have been an integral part of our planning activities from the very beginning. The tradition of wooden construction began with company founder Erich Eisfeld and was further expanded by Wolfgang Eisfeld, who in 1980, at the age of 37, was the youngest test engineer in Hesse to receive a test license for wooden and solid construction. This means that the planning of special wooden structures - for example large halls - together with structural testing and construction monitoring are part of Eisfeld Ingenieure's company DNA. Attention to detail is particularly important in wooden construction, as special attention must be paid to the structural designs and the associated construction requirements and a lot of specialist knowledge is necessary.
With our many years of know-how, not only did the Erfurt Cathedral get its new roof construction, but current buildings such as the spectacular new industrial building "Repair Center SMA 70" by Kassel-based SMA Solar Technology AG in Niestetal on the motorway are also symbols of Eisfeld's long-standing tradition of timber construction. SMA 70 was awarded the Hessian Timber Construction Prize for its outstanding properties.
In addition to structural calculations and construction monitoring, we also carry out sustainability studies for timber structures and develop the structural structures of walls and ceilings for them - a particular challenge in timber construction. We also support building owners in the economic viability of timber structures.
